US military scholarships
It is known that most of the people who voluntarily invest their time in the US military are the most respected people in the country. These personals provide protection and safety to the citizens of the country. Not only these people are provided with various kinds of awards but they can also avail one of the many military scholarships available to them.
These military scholarships are mainly provided for covering up the cost of education in the college or school for higher studies. It should be noted that several types of scholarships are offered but all have the main intention of assistance in education. Some of the types of scholarships available to the people include the Montgomery G I Bill and the ROTC scholarships directed towards the members of the armed forces.

Lastly available is the Larry Stickland Leadership Award for the non commissioned officials out there who exhibit extraordinary leadership qualities. This award comes along a bronze eagle and funds ranging up to $2,000.
On the other and in the Navy there are options available including the Fleet Reserve Association scholarship, which provides more than $5,000 annually. It should be noted that this award is restricted only to the family members of the officials who meets the criterion fixed. The Agron Seal Scholarship is available to students displaying a GPA of 3.2 and makes contributions in the community. The naval special warfare foundation scholarship is available for the dependents of the individual actively involved in the duty.

Admiral Mike Boorda scholarship: This scholarship is made available by the Navy Marine Corps relief society and provides the people with more than $2,000 annually. This is mainly directed towards the undergraduate students belonging to the marine/navy active duty.
Air Force ROTC College Scholarship: This is one of the most popular scholarships in the US and is directed towards the students belonging to school as well college. The scholarship provides funds ranging from $9000 to $15000 annually to more than 3000 to 4000 students.
American Legacy Scholarship: The scholarship comes from the Dolphin Scholarship Foundation established in the year 1960. Since its establishment, the foundation has paved ways for many bright students in the society. In the year 2008-2009, the foundation will be awarding more than 137 scholarships of 3,400 to each such scholar. Thus, each such scholar will be receiving about $13,600 in the form of awards at the end of his/her four years of undergraduate study. Until date, the foundation has awarded more than a million dollars to almost 1000 students.
